UNITED KINGDOM RAISES THE CURTAIN

Praise God for another year
By the great grace of God, we have been safely seen through 2013. Just like many other people, there were many occasions bright and fair which glittered our paths, including visiting Ghana for the first time in five years. The going had not been entirely rosy but through it all the LORD took our hands and led us safely through into this brand new year.

At this time it is my greatest joy to pause and say THANK YOU for your massive prayer and moral support as I traverse this difficult phase of my life. Let us continue to hold on tenaciously to the LORD and to one another knowing that in Him, through Him and with Him, victory is assured.

Our last visitors towards the end of the year, like previous ones, were a blessing. Elder Michael Obeng Gyasi, Presiding Elder of Emmanuel English Assembly and Manager of Accra Mall Forex Bureau. He visited with his wife Gifty on their return from a tour of the Holy Land. They are a very pleasant couple, open to the LORD and radiant in the faith.

After them came our son, Dr Gamael Koizan, a medical doctor in Ivory Coast. Gamael was eleven years old when his
father, COP Pastor Raoul Koizan (Rtd), brought him to live with us to start Secondary School. That was in 1991 when I was serving as COP National of Ivory Coast. Young Gamael was an extremely brilliant chap, one of the top ten of his age-group in the nation. I looked straight into his eyes and said, "This is the home of champions; you will become a medical doctor." Twelve years later, that dream was realized. He got married to the only other person who passed out as a medical student that year. Dr Joan D'Arc, his wife is also a COP member and daughter of Mr and Mrs Kouao, our closest private friends in RCI. Dr Gamael is now Deputy National Director of a U.N medical organ while his wife bears the same title in the UN Food Programme. It was a pleasure having him and share reminiscences of those earlier years.

Then came Pastor Samuel Otu Appiah, Personal Assistant to the Chairman of COP, and his wife, Gifty. This precious couple had joined others to pray for me. Although they saw me earlier in the year in Ghana, nothing was like seeing me in Germany.

Sister Dorcas Lamptey came from London to visit us. She was one of the closest to us when I served as COP National Head of France. Dorcas volunteered to come over to help my wife keep our toddlers Mike and Joanna. Later she relocated to U.K. This was the second Christmas she was spending with us. She served and served; being of any kind of help she could

Apostle Newton O Nyarko, left, with Pastor Raymond Odei

With the start of the year, beloved ministry colleagues, friends and the church family have started paying us visits to encourage, pray with us, and share fellowship. The first to visit us outside Germany was the COP, United Kingdom. The high-powered delegation was made up of  Apostle Newton Ofosuhene Nyarko, the National Head of the church and Pastor Raymond Odei, the National Secretary. Their one-day visit took place on Saturday 11th January, 2013.
We had lots of time to pray, reflect, laugh and strategize over various issues. We discussed various and divergent topics, expressing faith, hope, optimism and desiring to hit higher heights in Kingdom Business.

Let us make 2014 a year of discovery in which we will follow the Lord closely and identify not only the big picture of what He wants us to accomplish but also the details of what goes into making everyday productive and impacting.

  4. And now 2014 lies ahead of us. Let our prayer be like that of Caleb - give me this mountain! Looking we you achieved so much, but I know you are not one to rest on your laurels! There are 'mountains' waiting to be climbed! Exciting! I am so looking forward to the grand opening of the assignment given to you at the 2013 Council Meeting! God is our refuge and strength! Let's look to him to provide all that is necessary to accomplish his plans and purposes for our lives, remembering he knew them before we were even conceived. Mind blowing!

    1. Yes, mom. What remains to be achieved is so much more that what has been achieved fizzles out into insignificance. As regards my new role, we are working on two books for the church. God granting grace, we shall release one by General Council time and the second, thereafter. Besides these, I am trusting God for the release of a personal one. Preaching the gospel in good times and in bad times; in season and out of season, has taken on full meaning to me now. Thanks for your continuous prayers. Blessings
